RSA Token Alternatives

RSA got hacked, and that has reportedly led to Lockheed Martin and other companies being hacked, because it seems that some important secret information was stolen from RSA.

RSA's public statements are masterpieces of doubletalk, leaving no way for companies to know how large the risk of continuing to use RSA tokens is.

And why should people carry RSA tokens around these days, when everyone has a cell phone, and often a smart phone?

So it's time to consider alternatives. Here are a few:

DuoSecurity

Google Authenticator

Phone Factor

Verisign Identity Protection ty @Flwz

www.pointsharp.se ty @itinsecurity

www.mideye.com ty @itinsecurity

Safenet ty @EnzOnInfoSec

Kobil tokens ty @nicoduck

Wikid Systems ty @wikidsystems

Secure Key ty @EdiStrosar

I haven't tried any of them, but I have seen excellent security research from Phone Factor--they are smart people.

If you have ideas, please tweet them to me @sambowne
