CLASS POLICIES

Grading: A or F

Attendance

For each unit of credit, you must work 75 hours per semester if you are on a paid assignment. For unpaid assignments, 60 hours per semester must be logged. For example, CNIT198 is a 2 unit class so you must work 150 hrs/paid or 120 hrs/unpaid in the semester.

Important Information: If you do not find an internship it is your responsibility to drop from this class

Assignments

1. Prepare your resume

2. Get at least one CNIT instructor to email a recommendation for you to cnit.197@gmail.com

3. Attend a placement meeting as scheduled by your instructor, or by appointment.

4. After on-campus approval, contact your prospective employer to request the position. An off-campus interview may be required.

5. Inform your instructor after getting a job by email to: cnit.197@gmail.com

6. Complete the "Work Experience Form" and deliver it to your instructor no later than March 24. This form determines your Midterm Grade.

7. On the Job Training

8. Conversations with Supervisor and Internship coordinator as needed

9. Complete the "Training Form" and deliver it to your instructor no later than May 10. This form determines your Final Grade.

NOTE: ALL PAPERWORK/ON-SITE MEETINGS MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN 12/01/10

Evaluation

1. Final employee (student)/ employeer written summary.
