Job Description:
Helpdesk Assistant
Functions:
-Deploy computers, monitors and other peripherals to end users
-Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade computer workstations and laptops
-Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot software applications for end users
-Locally backup users data in preparation for computer repair
-Repair and maintain printers, including toner replacement
The following are not necessary, but a big plus:
-Symantec/Veritas Backup Exec
-Knowledge of and experience supporting server or appliance based corporate virus, spyware and spam solutions
-Ability to setup, support and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook using POP3
-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003
-Working knowledge of firewall, switches, and routers
